I found this one on the bookshelf at Curves yesterday and I just loved the cover photo so I took it home. Then I noticed the blurb on the back cover, "Could Barbie feel sorrow?" "Could Barbie understand what it's like to be plump, lonely, Jewish?" I don't think they're referring to Klaus Barbie, either. I'll read and re-release as usual.

And you thought YOUR siblings were awful. Meet Lorna Person who's life revolves around her crazy (really) sister. Actually, her whole family is pretty crazy. Witty but self-absorbed, not a bad book. But it didn't really hold my interest for long and I kind of skipped through it. Promised to release it to pamorama at the next Meetup.

Released on Tuesday, July 8, 2003 at BookCrossing Meetup @ Sleepers In Seattle in Seattle, Washington USA.

Bringing this along with me to the BookCrossing Meetup tonight, 7 PM. Be there!

Haven't read it yet but I'm making this entry so a certain person won't nag me. ;)

Lots of bittersweet humor in this one. Although my own sister could give the character "Lonnie" a run for her money I suspect Lonnie would top her, but not by much.

An enjoyable book altogether, and I'd like to see some of the other books Laurie Fox has written.
