It's a new month... time for some new bug fixes!
While Matt is still working on harnessing the book data that we all have contributed to, and making it available for searches, he's also been rather busy fixing other things, and even adding some nifty little features. Read all about it in this Announcements forum post.Island of the Sequined Love Nun

This is the only Christopher Moore book I haven't read. I'm really looking forward to it!
Another great Christopher Moore novel. More on the line with "Coyote Blue" but even more enjoyable. I thought this one was right up there with "Lamb" and "The Lust Lizard of Meloncoly Cove." I laughed out loud more than once.

This book arrived in the mail this morning. I really enjoyed "The Lust Lizard of Melancholy Cove" by the same author. Moore sure has interestingly titled books! I'm looking forward to reading this. Janbur is reading it after I'm done with it. Thanks alrescate! =^..^=
Trade paperback. 325 pages.
I really liked this zany novel. I will definately have to seek out the rest of this author's books. He is really humorous and original.
This book is now heading back to the States via snail mail. I'm sending it today to Janbur, of Belton, Texas. Enjoy!

Received in the mail from alrescate. Thanks! I'm looking forward to reading it. I have quite a lot of books in my TRB pile, so it may be a while.
I liked this book more than I did "Lamb....the gospel according to Biff......" I thought this one was MUCH funnier ~ now I wish I could get my hands on some more of his books. I am working on a stack to release, so will post more information later on.
Controlled release to BC'er, JENNYO. Hope she enjoys it as much as I did!
Janbur actually drove this book over to my house this afternoon. Bookcrossing personal delivery...what a deal. :-)
I love Christopher Moore's books and am really looking forward to reading this one. I'll post another entry and release the book once I've finished it. Thanks to all of you who have passed this book along.

Finished this one last night. I thoroughly enjoyed it (as I have all of Moore's books so far). This one had a nice, tight (if wacky) plot and the usual hilarious dialogue I've come to expect from Moore. I'm so thankful to BookCrossers for introducing me to this author. I'm well on the way to reading everything he's written, and have recommended his books to many of my friends.
I'll be taking this one to the Texas BookCrossers Meetup this Saturday and releasing it there.

Changed my mind...will mail to CasualReader next week.
Just got this in the mail. Thanks JennyO. My but that was fast!
Another winner by Christopher Moore.
It took me a long time to get around to reading this book, as it was the last in my Moore-athon, but it was well worth the wait.
I liked the concept of the story, even if you take out some of the weirder elements of said concept. Just the idea of how an American dweeb would interact with natives was an interesting enough hook for me. Add to that a transvestite and a nympho, make the natives a cargo cult, and throw in some ninjas for good measure, and you have the makings of a classic Christopher Moore tale.
I didn't understand the reference to "the king with big ears" wanting to be a tampon, though. Someone will have to explain that one to me. I assumed they were talking about Prince Charles, but beyond that I didn't get the joke :-)
While not my favorite Moore book, this one still rates up there. After my Moore-athon, I think my favorites go something like this:
1) Lamb
2) Lust Lizard
3) Fluke
4) Love Nun
5) Practical Demonkeeping
6) Coyote Blue
7) Bloodsucking Fiends <-- This is last, and I loved it...go figure :-)

I'll drop this off at the Meetup tonight. Normally, I would release it there, just in case nobody takes it, but the sneaky people at the meetups have been checking ahead to see what I'm bringing. I would much rather surprise them!
Picked the book up at tonights Meetup. Thank you very much.
I tried reading this one along with "Lamb". I'm sorry but I found "Lamb" to be incredibly stupid. I just couldn't get into any of the other books, yet I loved "Fluke".
Go figure.

RELEASE NOTES:
This one is being passed on to BrynnSC!
This one is being passed on to BrynnSC!
Thanks to everyone who has had this before me. It seems to have been making it's rounds! I received it in a large box of books from SandDanz about a week and a half ago. We were finishing loading up the U-Haul to move 3 states away when it arrived, but I tucked the box in the car so it wouldn't get put in storage with the rest of our belongings (Oh, my precious books!!!) until we find a house (still looking).
I greatly enjoyed this one as well as the others I have read. While still funny, silly, and ironic to the end, I felt it was more serious in wrapping things up. This put it higher on my list of favs from Moore.
There are several books of his that I have yet to read and look forward to them.
Thanks, SandDanz!!
