In this collection of deeply insightful and powerful essays, Chelsea Watego examines the ongoing and daily racism faced by First Nations peoples in so-called Austalia. Rather than offer yet another account of 'the Aboriginal problem'she theories a strategy for living in a society that has only ever imagined Indigenous peoples as destined to die out.
Posted on request through Librarything to Jean-sol, enjoy!
This is supposed to be quite an insightful book and I reckon once I have finished with it a few Melbourne Bookcrossers will be interested so it is probably going to travel a fair bit! Thank you sofie777 for sending it my way.
It seemed fitting to read this book during the run-up to The Voice referendum. Watego's views are clear, expressed with passion and well worth hearing. Recommended reading.
