Mr. Willy Wonka owns a very big and famous chocolate factory. Other candy companies would like to learn his secrets. Many people wonder how the factory is kept running. For many years, no one has seen anyone go in or come out. Now there is a contest, and five lucky children will get to see the inside. Mr. Wonka himself will give them a guided tour.

For ages 8 to adult. Older readers will understand more of the jokes.

Some of the drawings are funny too.

If you have read this book before, the pictures might not be what you are used to. When the book was first published, it had drawings by Joseph Schindelman. This copy has drawings by Quentin Blake, from 1998.

CAUGHT IN SAUK RAPIDS MN USA

What a cool idea! Thanks to the person who put this book out there for others! I found this in one of those little library houses, and I thought that this was such a wonderful idea. I believe that small acts of kindness can make a big difference in our world, and what wonderful proof of that here! One book can bring a smile to a person's face, delight to their imagination, and wisdom to their brain. I am going to put this book in the little library house in my yard, and I can't wait to see where it goes from there. Thank you!!!
