The blurb on the cover of this book says "The terrifying tale of a demonic cult leader who sought to create a new race --- by destroying this one! I'm not so sure that's accurate. After reading the novel my take on this is that the guy, James Kelly AKA Kalki, might have really believed he was the avatar of the new age.
There's no telling where this book began its journey through readers' hands. It apparently was first sold in the USA but somehow ended up in a used book store in Tacloban, Leyte where I bought it for a mere 15 pesos.
