A great storyline, very interesting characters, and a satisfying read! The story follows the life of Fanny who is the daughter of a wealthy shipping merchant in the 1650's of England. Her life takes her from times of great wealth to total destitution and finally to the new colony of Boston. I enjoyed Fanny, and thought she was a very strong woman, although at times a pioneer super woman.
