I love Jonathan Carroll. His writing draws me in completely, however weird and bizarre his stories are I find them entirely believable! The Marriage of Sticks is the story of a woman who knows nothing about her life until forces beyond her control make her confront it. Time and people slip and slide about, events that never happened, never can happen take place and people who she knows to be dead start occupying her life.
This is a novel about what it is to give, to make a sacrifice, and the potential ramifications that the smallest decisions we make have on those around us. It certainly gave me a lot to think about and by the end I found myself ironically inspired and comforted.
Sending to catrionamoore as an RABCK. Hope you enjoy :-)

Arrived today, thank you for the RABCK.
I shall make sure that once I have read it that it goes out to be read, by other BCers, in some form or another.

Decided against leaving book there afterall, as I'd rather it had a better, more guaranteed, chance of being 'caught', so will take it to an official OBCZ somewhere soon instead.

RELEASED IN A BOX OF BOOKS VIA FREECYCLE
Hello, thank you for being curious enough to visit Bookcrossing!
Even if this isn't your kind of book and you don't intend to read it I'd appreciate it if you would make a journal entry of some sort. Maybe you could say where you found it (they don't always stay where they were originally left!) or what you think of the idea of travelling books.
Then, leave it for someone else to find. And don't forget, if you make release notes (to say where you've left it, and when) next time it's journalled you'll hear from it too!
