Book handed to me by my daughter during the Adelaide Bookcrossing convention. No BC registration details.
From back cover:Sam's in the wardrobe. With a hammer in one hand, a wooden stake in the other - and a heart full of fear.
It's almost midnight...
Cat's on the bed. Face down and nude. Sam's former girlfriend - the only woman he's ever loved. Together they wait because...
The vampire's coming!

Book has been neatly covered to protect it on its journey, with a 'Take me home, I'm a BookCrossing book' sticker on the front.
Not 'into' vampires, so wasn't expecting much. Yet have enjoyed other books by Richard Laymon, and thought that would make up for it. Have rated this higher due to author, more so than story line or content.
Found myself becoming so cross with the unpleasant characters as they went from one unlikely drama to another, was tempted to go onto something else without finishing it. Yet I was sucked in to see how it all ended, and finished the last third in one frustrated, cross sitting.
Am sure this would make a great B Grade movie. Here's hoping future readers enjoy it.
