I found this slightly-battered paperback (different cover than shown) at a local Annie's Bookstop, and as I'd enjoyed The PMS Outlaws I thought I'd try this one...

Later: This one had its moments, but isn't one of my favorites of the series - in part because it's set on a remote Scottish island, so the delightful cousin Geoffrey doesn't get to make an appearance {wry grin}, though Elizabeth drops him a line or two.

This book follows up on the meeting of Elizabeth and Cameron; here, she more or less invited herself along on his expedition (working in a little tourism on the way). Once there, though, someone turns up dead, and with access to and from the island limited, Elizabeth has to try and work out what's going on...

The story's told in three different viewpoints - first-person by Cameron, first-person by Elizabeth, and third-person to cover everything else. It's a mix of wacky-tourist incidents, the ups and downs of a new relationship, a look at an archaeological dig, and, yes, a murder mystery. (Early on, one of the new characters spends time on an "orgy of crime", vicariously anyway, visiting museums, cemeteries, and famous crime scenes - I definitely empathized with his choice of tourist sites, and if I ever get to Scotland I'll undoubtedly see the same ones!)

As for the mystery itself, it had some very good twists to it, right up to the end...
