Never read a Margaret Drabble, so thought I'd give this a go.
Finally have given this a go. It took me a while to get into it, as it is considerably more introspective than the books I normally read, and I nearly gave up at about p40. The whole effect was very claustrophobic, and I had little sympathy with the main character most of the way through, but somewhere near the end I realised I was quite enjoying it
