Whip smart and pacy read. BK slips in some tricky issues, but it never detracts from the main of compelling and realistic friendships, and people making the best of what life throws at them.

I was drawn into this amazing book straight away. The characters, story and atmosphere are beautifully portrayed. With this, her first novel, BK hit the ground running and has gone from strength to strength ever since.
