"...They began to claim they'd had that dream, too. I'd argue with them, tell them I was the oldest, that it was my dream and they'd better stay out of it or there would be trouble."

Sort of dark and humorless, as was his other story "Angela's Ashes". Perhaps I'm not from the right background, or the correct literary perspective, to enjoy his work.

Can't wait to read this one. I've heard it's not as good as Angela's Ashes, but really, how could it be?!?
I really like the way Frank McCourt writes, so I know it will be a fun read.

i really enjoyed this book. of course not the same impact as angela's ashes, but still great.
