CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:

It took me awhile to get into this book, but I ultimately enjoyed Frances Mayes' tale of finding a tumbledown house in Tuscany and remaking it to be a haven from her busy life in the U.S.

It now is headed to Maria-Nunes in Portugal because she was the winner of my monthly RABCK contest. Enjoy!

Now that I have already booked my flights to a visit to Florence (short holidays in the end of September), I will read this book to get a sense of Tuscany before I actually arrive there :-)

Finally I managed to finish reading this book... I started last year before going to Florence, Lucca and Pisa. But I found it very boring in some parts and I put it away ... then I picked it up again last month and finally I got till the end, though I jumped some pages...

Probably the movie is interesting, as some parts of the book are interesting and nice to read - I think the book should have about half of the pages, and I would put the recipes in a chapter apart, in the end.

Anyway, thank you collectorkerri for sharing it.
