It's a new month... time for some new bug fixes!
While Matt is still working on harnessing the book data that we all have contributed to, and making it available for searches, he's also been rather busy fixing other things, and even adding some nifty little features. Read all about it in this Announcements forum post.

Like a latter-day Henry James hero, Tom Ripley is sent to Italy with the commission to coax Dickie Greenleaf back to his wealthy father. But Ripley finds himself very fond of this prodigal young American. He wants to be like him -- exactly like him. Suave, agreeable, and utterly amoral, Ripley stops at nothing -- certainly not only one murder -- to accomplish his goal. (cover blurb)

The first Ripley novel. I loved it. Which reminds me I need to seek out the other books in this series. This book, by the way, has different cover art than that shown. (Not the movie tie-in edition, but an earlier printing.)

Release planned for Tuesday, November 26, 2002 at USMail in Fellow BXer, USMail USA.

Mailed to ateehee. Enjoy!

Looking forward to reading this psychological thriller. Didn't want to see the film until I've read the book. Thanks!

I enjoyed the characters in this book and I am glad that I didn't see the film as the actors weren't who I envisioned the characters to be. Tom Ripley's morality, or lack of it, intrigued me and kept me reading. The reason it only rates a 7 is that while I was pleased with the ending, I found it a little abrupt. I don't like books and films that lend themselves to sequels. However, I will read another Ripley book and see how it plays out...

I'm making a new journal entry on this book, just to show it's currently traveling somewhere out there. Happy journeys, book, and may someone new make a journal entry on you someday.
