Book Description
A New Bakery for Dry Creek?
Ballet teacher Lizette Baker's last name had never caused so much confusion! The townspeople thought she was opening a bakery. Instead, she opened Dry Creek's first dance studio. By putting on the Nutcracker with an all-local cast, Lizette hoped to heal the rift and create some Christmas sparkle.
A New Love for Judd Bowman?
No one needed distraction more than Judd's young cousins, whom he was raising and keeping safe from their abusive father. So if they wanted to be in the Nutcracker, Judd would see to it -- even if he had to personally guard the door! He was prepared for anything, except for the possibility of Christmas sparkle becoming Christmas love.
*** Another sweet story about the people of Dry Creek -- I think they have some of the worst luck when it comes to crime and people coming after the new residents as it seems like every book in this series has taken on the same theme. I would of liked something a bit different as it seems as though I am reading the same story-line but with different characters and it is getting old for me. It was a cute story and I thought the children were adorable -- I liked the main characters and could visualize them clearly -- I would of prefered a different story-line that centered around this not so quiet, quiet town.

What a wonderful surprise! A Dry Creek book that's a Christmas book too, so it fits into two of my favorite categories!
Thanks for your thoughtfulness, my friend, and I hope all is well with you.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story! The warmth of the community came alive off the pages as they embraced the newcomers. Judd's fierce protectiveness of the children, and Lizette's nurturing maternal instincts towards them was very admirable. It was heartwarming to accompany both adults on their journey to overcome their cold upbringings as they uncovered what it means to truly belong. I also appreciated how the spiritual message wasn't forced, but was allowed to wash over everyone in its own special way.
