Rachel Walsh is 27 and the miserable owner of size 8 feet. Overly fond of recreational drugs, she gets frogmarched into the Cloisters, Dublin's answer to the Betty Ford Clinic. Once there, she seeks redemption in the shape of Chris, a "man with a past". A novel by turns poignant, powerful and seriously funny.

Chick lit isn't my favourite thing, but when it's done well, I love it. Marian Keyes does it very well. This book actually made me laugh out loud, and cry.

sulizhen gave me this book (amongst others), I'm glad she did because I have been meaning to sign up to BookCrossing and would probably never have got round to it otherwise.

I doubt this is the kind of book I would have chosen on my own but I'm going to give it a go.

Thanks su!

I've read this and surprisingly enjoyed it! It's not a book I would have picked to read if left to my own devices. In fact I have just noticed that I have an unread copy of 'sushi for beginners' by the same author on my shelf, my ex-flatmate left it 5 years ago and it had never tickled my fancy! Maybe I will give it a go now.

I will release this book once my husband has finished reading it - he is half-way though and getting bored with it.

MrUrban has now read this as well, he enjoyed it but I think it was a bit girly for his taste. He did have a fgod few giggles at parts of it though and he was happy about the ending.
