This is the second book from these authors, and compared to The Nanny Diaries, it was disappointing. Although the book is not a bad story in itself, it isn't nearly as good as their first book.

They use the same format of not really naming characters or places but using 'my company' and 'girl' sort of names. This story had the same feel of The Nanny Diaries about a college-grad desperate for work in the city, but not the same catchy humour or wit. Once I got into it I liked the story unfolding around Girl, but it did take a while to get into!

Hope others enjoy it more!

I put this into Jackson371's virtual fiction bookbox and it was selected by Sterile!

Thankyou for sending a hardback book all the way from Canada just for little old me! Taken out (and to be enjoyed) from the Jackson371 virtual box. Joining the TBR mountain and then to be passed on.

Picked this up at the uncon because I enjoyed the nanny diaries. Can't believe I missed meeting sterile (having been in a few book boxes with her)

I finally got round to reading this one, and I have to agree it was not as good as the Nanny diaries.
A typical chick lit with a business edge.
