Chose this book from the book swop at Kitchen Garden cafe, Kings Heath, June 2017. Sad to see there are no logs since 2005. Amazing book, eloquent, discriptive, poignant, thought provoking. Our roles as parents are so defining for our off spring; we fail to realise until it is too late. Parenthood should be taught from primary level onwards. I chose the book because I had visited Antarctica for my 60th birthday this year. She captures the very essence of this continent perfectly. Go there!
Addition to my previous entry: I brought the book to Spain to read and pass on. Same continent, different country but at last it's travelling. I do hope it brings pleasurable reading in other continents.
