A fairly light novel but very enjoyable. David, a young welsh man brought up by chapel parents, goes on a climbing holiday in Scotland and falls in love with the sea and becomes a rough fisherman.

Having worked on a fishing boat for a week, and on a fish farm over 4 summers, I can say that working with the sea is heavy manual labour. All commercial fishermen have my respect. This book is about a person who deck hands with a mate, gets the bug, falls in love and then has a go himself. I enjoyed the story and the various characters.
