I have heard a great deal about Haruki Murakami (and I just received a bookring copy of his book Norwegian Wood), so I was in suspense about this book. It was intriguing, yet I never really engaged with the main character or fully understood his obsessions with the women who had left the strongest impressions on him.

Still, I enjoyed this brief book enough that I'm looking forward to starting Norwegian Wood. I'll probably offer this up at the next Shanghai bookcrossers meetup, unless I leave it somewhere else in the interim.

I was asked to leave the book in a coach, but I didn't have the chance to and so I ended up reading it... I did enjoy it although it does seem a bit strange. However as everybody seems to be reading Murakami now, I'll pass it on to somebody else.

This book was my first book crossing -book i happened to catch. Some colleague showed it to me at KF-Uni about two weeks ago, but he had already bought it in German. So i took it home and enjoyed after a long time reading an english book again. Concerning the language it wasn't hard to read at all. No idea what to tell about the plot...it left me a bit dissatisfied in the end.
I don't know where to leave the book for the next potential reader...we'll see.
