I've read all of Oliver Sacks' books and this one left the biggest impression on me. I'm in awe of what human beings are capable of overcoming. Whenever I think I'm at the end of my rope, I think about the seven stories in this book, and I'm inspired to keep on breathing and putting one foot in front of the other and not lose my perspective. It's wonderful how Dr. Sacks translates neurological phenomena into real-life experiences, so we realize there are actual miracles around us
