This was in my goodie bag at the Unconvention. Thankyou so much for finding something from my wishlist. I'm really looking forward to it, & it's already been reserved for SwanofKennet when I'm done.
Very enjoyable, with enough twists to keep me guessing.
I felt a little let down by the ending, but difficult to explain why without spoiling the plot for future readers.
Will be passing this on to SwanofKennet at the next BOSH bash.

I'd heard great things about Peter Robinson so perhaps the build-up was why I found this book rather disappointing. The plot twists were just enough to hold my interest but it never gripped me and it took a while for me to read.
Compared to Reg Hill or Ian Rankin, Robinson's style seems to be rather pedestrian and his characters sketchily-drawn and not terribly interesting, at least to me. He's one of those writers, too, who stops the action to describe what a character is wearing.
I'll try Robinson again but it might be a while.
