Mostly Harmless (Hitch Hiker's guide to the galaxy)
5 journalers for this copy...
The fifth part of the "Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy" series. 20 years on, the Guide falls into the hands of Arthur Dent's daughter, Random, whose mother, unexpectedly to all concerned, is Trillian. Random journeys to an insignificant planet, whose entry in the Guide reads "mostly harmless". (synopsis from Amazon.com)
Unfortunately IMHO the Hitchhiker's Guide seems to get slightly more contrived and less fun with every book after the Restaurant at the end of the Universe. I guess the really good ideas were used in the first 2 books.

Caught this at the Canberra BC meetup at King O'Malley's pub in Civic on Saturday.
I have three or four other books from this series and the DVDs of the TV series which are packed in a removalist's box 'in the toilet in the basement of a disused building, in the locked drawer of a filing cabinet, with a sign on the door saying "Beware of the Tiger" '.
;-)
I loved this all when I was young and can still probably sing the national anthem by Zaphod Beeblebrox and recite the 'worst-poetry-in-the unverse' or was it the '2nd-worst-poetry'?, by the Vogon captain:
'Ode to a Small Lump of Green Putty I Found in My Armpit One Mid-Summers' Morning'
ha!
Still love the name Slartibartfarst!
(With glass raised to 'Fred', my fellow Hitchhiker)

and Happy Reading!
Thank you so much for sending me this wishlist book. I've only read my first Douglas Adams book in the last year. (the books didn't take two weeks to arrive but someone picked the parcel up from our mailbox and left it in the car - my son just found it as he was after pocket money and cleaning the car was top of my list). so thank you very much for a Sunday bookcrossing surprise.
