WILD RELEASE NOTES:
RELEASE NOTES:
Valentine's Day RABCK from ShelleN. Thank you very much. I forgot it was coming. I will release it after I finish reading it. It arrived 2/22/2006.
I've not read any of her books, but have been wanting to, so this is great. Thanks again.

Going to legbamel as a RABCK. Sending out 6/8/06
Aaaaah - not one review?! Sorry I didn't "catch" this when it showed up two days ago but I kept forgetting to bring the BCID to work. I just started reading it this morning and I must say that it's a bit confusing. I assume Ms. Woolf is being purposely obtuse in her writing but it does make for a rather difficult beginning. I have had a few chuckles already, though, which isn't bad considering I'm only about 25 pages in. Thanks so much for sending it and I'll post more when I've finished!
UPDATE 6/21/06: I finished this a couple of days ago and am still not certain how I felt about it. I found it funny, yes, but pointless all told. I didn't see that much meditation on gender (with some exceptions), as touted in the reviews cited on the cover. I just don't think I "got" it - why did everyone live so very long, especially Orlando? And when you consider that his experiences as a male person were so early and that he/she spent a couple of hundred years living as both I don't really see the value of comparing male roles from the early 1600s to female roles 400 years later. Unless the point is that women in 1928 were the men of 1638, in which case what were roles of men in 1928? I think this would have been better read to be discussed with a group along the way, or maybe I'm the obtuse one!
