A collection of short stories some of which link into Baxter's Manifold series (Space, Time and Origin). Good, well-realised SF.

Picked up a long time ago, and only now read. After a policy of weeding TBR shelf for stuff I wasn't really bothered about, I whittled it down to things I did want to read. Including this.
It was good. Enjoyable set of stories, around themes of space exploration (twentieth century or later), evolution, alternative worlds. And it ends with a couple of guys listening to the Beatles.
Some of the stories provbably work better if you know the novels or series they tie in with, but most work alone or as part of this collection. I liked the FUBAR suit story a lot.
