I'm finally reading this book and enjoying it even if it is an old book club edition. It is described as:
"In this tremendously powerful novel, an unforgettable blend of fiction an fact, Richrad Condon mirrors the rise and fall of Nazi Germany in the engrossing human story of two people who thought their love made them immune from corruption and safe against heartbreak."
The love is between a Jewish French girl and a German soldier starting in 1931. When I finish reading it, I plan to release it in Tuggerah on Monday morning. I have now finished it and found it extremely interesting.

I found the book in a sale of used books from my local library. I browsed it and then instantly re-released it by leaving it for someone else to buy! (Okay, yes, this means that I was too cheap to buy it, but let's look at the positive side!)
