I read this years ago - and it was pretty good. He is not the easiest writer to get into, but worth perserving with.

The style of writting employed by Jeal Paul Sartre can be somewhat daunting not only in this book but in some of the other he has written. His goal to understand everything blended with his Marxist views of eour world makes "The age of reason" one of the most stimulating books i have come across. It definately gives food for thought.
