This was an absolutely fabulous read. After the first 25 pages, I couldn't put it down, lost a lot of sleep but finished it in 4 days. Historical novel about London, told from the eyes of several different families from the time of the Druids until 1997. His writing style holds your attention brilliantly. His research must have been a huge undertaking as he weaves the historical facts in and out of the fictional characters and the "real" characters. I not only loved the story line, I learned a great deal about British history.
