The Murders of Richard III

This is a bit different from most of Peters' stuff I've read, but still good. I like the way she mixes some real history into the thriller/mystery genré. It gives it a bit of depth, although her plots and characters are strong enough anyway. This book is set in the classic English country manor, but the similarity to other "ladylike" murder mysteries stops there. The action revolves around a conference of an historical society who have gathered to see a newly-discovered letter that is supposed to clear King Richard III of a guilty role in the deaths of the two princes in the Tower. Fast moving action, love interests, and a dash of real scholarship make this a good book for the season.
