I like Stuart Woods writing style. He's developed a couple of interesting characters over a series of novels, Stone Barrington is an ex-cop, lawyer with proletarian background and very wealthy friends. He has links to the mafia through a strange brief marriage and lots of fascinating adventures, improbable but fun.

You'll enjoy this if you like mystery/thrillers.
