Ahhhh...more of the same, if anything even more mellow and cosy than the 1st book. What a fine antidote to sofistikated books wot one reeds to look clever ;-) One of the things that sets Mma Ramotswe apart from other tecs is her female intuition and the application of her own morality and logic to resolving crimes, in the sense of making things right, not just figuring out the 'who' and the 'why'.
As an aside, Mma Ramotswe talks about gaining her ‘Cambridge Certificate’, which is something my organisation produces here at the U of C. I remember now that Botswana is a big Customer of Cambridge Assessment qualifications. Its quite odd to think of Batswana taking English language ‘O’ & ‘A’ levels!
Now on its way to Barefootmum, cos she asked for it :-)

Thank you so much to BookGroupMan for sending this to me and sorry I didn't journal it sooner.
I really enjoyed reading this and hearing more about the life of Mma Ramotswe. It's a refreshing and gentle read and Mma Ramotswe and Mr J L B Matekoni restore your faith in human nature. I will certainly be reading the others in the series.
