Thank you.

Ooof! That took me a long time! But it kept my interest going despite the length. I enjoyed the detail. Who do you relate most to? It was Alix for me.
PMing GateGypsy for her address.

Gack! I can't believe I forgot to journal this when it arrived! I have no idea, actually, when it finally landed on this side of the pond, but it is here, safe and sound, and patiently awaiting its turn... which won't be any time frightfully soon, I might add... certainly not before 6-8 weeks, anyway. I have midterms this week, which will slow down my progress through my books, but I'll be back on it straight away. Thank you in advance for your patience! Thanks for sharing, jubby. Don't worry. It will find its way to the next bookcrosser... eventually.

RELEASE NOTES:
I managed to track down another copy of this book (well, I didn't track it down, I stumbled happily across it on a $1 table and couldn't believe my luck!) so I am dutifully sending it on to the next bookcrosser who has been unbelievably patient in waiting for it to finish up here. My sincerest apologies in keeping it so long. When I've finished reading my own copy, I'll post my thoughts. Thanks!

Thanks very much for sending. It might take me a while to get onto it, as I have a few rings before this one at the moment, but I'll do my best!!
Finally started reading this a couple of weeks ago! This, I think, is about the third Margaret Drabble book I've read but the first from the 1001 Book list (from her). I found it very absorbing - loved the detail and the scope, and while I don't really remember the 70s/80s that well, it seems to me to be a really good snapshot of that time and the early Thatcher years. This book also really reminded me of A.S. Byatt's 'The Virgin in the Garden' series in terms of it's focus on women in a particular time period. I really enjoyed it - thanks jubby for organising (and sorry I took so long :-/)
And now onto it's next participant!! I'll PM tqd for her address now.

tqd has asked to be skipped, but the book is now in the post to Cat207. Hope you enjoy it!!
Arrived in today's mail. Thank you KLL and jubby for sharing. X
I'm not sure that I like Margaret Drabble's style. She really labours a point. And so many questions! But a good story.
What was the urn with the initials engraved on a silver plate all about? I thought we were going to find that Liz was related to the Oxenholmes.
Will send this home to jubby early next week.

Well, can you believe it! This bookring has completed it's ring and has returned home to me.
My faith in bookrings has been restored (a few others of mine have stalled). To celebrate, I should make the time to read this book myself, but as I've got a few other bookrings to get on with, I think I might save this one for the holidays.
Thank you everyone for participating and especially you Cat207.
