2000 Tor paperback of the 1999 futuristic tale of genetically altered, deep ocean, but mentally unstable, people employed to operate geothermal power stations far below the surface, while living under tremendous ocean pressure and breathing the seawater, leading to worldwide disaster. This copy came from A Book Shop in Aurora, Colorado. I found this copy this week in the Joaquin Little Free Library in San Leandro.
Edit May 10, 2024: This was good, but I just skimmed to end for time. It runs a bit long. I currently have this ranked at #3491 on my ranked list of best-read books lately.
