A solid summer read! The characters work, though the birders are an annoying bunch and you wait for something sinister from them from the first time they gather.

Vera is one of my tv-police favorities if not the favorite at the moment but I have not read any of the books so it will be interesting to see if there are differences between the tv-series and the book.
