Thank you for the book and tea bags! :)
I have already read the book in french, so it will be travelling again soon.
I'll copy-paste my translated comment :
"A bit long towards the end.
The more I turned the pages, the more I wondered how the story would end.
I cannot say that I really liked, nor that I really did not like it.
This book left me quite puzzled.

Thank you for the book and a delicious-looking card, Harobed82, they were delivered as part of yesterday's post. Reading your puzzled comments makes me rather curious about the book.
Journal Entry 5 by Paulanni at Riihimäki, Kanta-Häme / Egentliga Tavastland Finland on Wednesday, March 3, 2021
From the back cover:
"On the eve of her ninth birthday, unassuming Rose Edelstein bites into her mother's homemade lemon-chocolate cake and discovers she has a magical gift: she can taste her mother's emotions in the slice. To her horror, she finds that her cheerful mother tastes of despair."
Rather a curious tale told by Rose when she is 9, then 12, then 17. The author uses magical elements to reveal the undercurrents of the relationships in the family. The book was a slow read for me at the start, but grew more interesting later.
