CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:
Releasing into the Bookish Bookbox.
Okay, so I got the book box back mid-pandemic. Pandemic sucked out much of my enthusiasm for anything and I have never logged any of the books.
I am finally feeling ready to start another round of the book box. PM me if you are interested. This book has only been seen by a few people, so it will be included.

I'm claiming this from the 2021 Bookish Bookbox, bookbox-journal here.
Later: Very quirky novel here, bracketed by scenes involving crows - and featuring some really lovely and lyrical passages, even when from the viewpoint of characters who are not in a very good place. That said, I didn't find that I liked most of the characters very much, especially protagonist Wyatt, who's juggling an eccentric family and his own guilt over having brought a chemical plant - and all its toxic waste - to his small Michigan town. (That part's all too real-world: an attempt to correct economic problems and revitalize one's home town but at what turns out to be an extremely high cost...)
