Received from my sister. From the back: This is a comic novel to welcome home w/ open arms.... Wandering back & forth through 40 years of history as though it were backyard gossip, Flagg tells the life story of Dena Nordstrom, America's most popular female newscaster.... You'd have to be a stone to read Welcome to the World, Baby Girl! w/out laughing & crying.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I promised it to someone and I cannot remember who.

Received in the mail today, June 15, from retc of New Orleans along with some Mardi Gras beads and doubloons! Thanks, retc!
This was my first Fannie Flagg book, and I will definitely read more. This was a very good book, at first, light and gentle, getting deeper and darker as I got to 'know' the central character, with quite a surprising twist at the end.
