By the creator of the CakeWrecks blog, this is a hilarious compilation of photos and the history behind them
Enjoy!
My own weird cake story is that once, many years ago, I ordered a cake for New Year's Eve. I asked that it look like a clock face, with the hands of the clock to be at a few minutes before midnight. When I picked the cake up, the hands were at 4:15 or something equally irrelevant to New Year's Eve!
We ate it anyhow! ;-)

This book looks hilarious, and I've only looked at 3 pages. 'Definitely will pass on to my daughter. I think all the staff at Stubbe chocolates (where they also make a lot of cakes and pastries) will find this highly amusing. I do recall...Beth made a 3-tier cake for my sisters' 65th birthday, and it was gorgeous. Just one teeny blooper: the ampersand between their names was backwards....but I don't think anyone noticed. (Of course I did!!)
The author does say that her blog doesn't only showcase the *wrecks*. I think it is on Sundays that she dedicates the site to gorgeous cakes that are awesome. Here are some book-themed wedding masterpieces:
