"Written in the great tradition of Edgar Allan Poe and HP Lovecraft, The House on the Strand is a gripping and masterfully written tale of history and horror with a fresh approach to time travel."
I love Du Maurier's writing, its brooding nature and the way the story is always woven into a beautiful landscape. I wasn't too sure about the time travelling aspect, but the past & present story lines synced so well and Du Maurier's characters - with all their usual faults & foibles- were perfect. I hope you enjoy this novel as much as I did.
