Great book by Malamud. It's a bit depressing, but I guess it gives a fairly accurate picture of life for a poor Jewish family during the great depression.

Made several attempts at this one, but just couldn't get into it. Probably due more to my current state of mind than any fault with the novel... but I just found it depressing and dry.

I'll set this one free soon in hopes it finds a more appreciative reader....
