Notes from a Big Country

For some reason, I find Bill Bryson's travel books utterly hilarious, yet his other nonfiction books decidedly less so. This is one of the latter, and though there were a few very funny bits, most of it was just okay. This was my second reading of it, and I also found it quite dated this time- the columns that comprise it were written in the mid-1990s, and many of their topics are no longer relevant. Bryson being Bryson, however, the book was still pretty enjoyable.
