While Matt is still working on harnessing the book data that we all have contributed to, and making it available for searches, he's also been rather busy fixing other things, and even adding some nifty little features. Read all about it in this Announcements forum post. The Talented Mr. Ripley

The film was clever yet I don''t believe I''ll read the book. It is a bit ruffled around the edges but should be good enough to send out for someone to find. I am setting it free at work. Maybe they will let me know what they think of it and where they send it.

Hi,
They were setting up for some live music in the coffeeshop so I rushed by to get to the bookshelf and drop off my books from the two boxes of them I had to release. This was one of the books.

I selected this book from Kudu Coffee at the Redoing the Charleston kickoff event!
"In a chilling literary hall of mirrors, Patricia Highsmith introduces Tom Ripley. Like a latter-day Henry James hero, he is sent to Italy with the commission to coax Dickie Greenleaf back to his wealthy father. But Ripley finds himself very fond of this prodigal young American. He wants to be like him--exactly like him...."
I never saw the movie, and it took me a while to get into the novel. I enjoyed reading about Ripley's scam, one that wouldn't play out the same way today, with DNA and fingerprint evidence.
I plan to release this book at the end of the month while I'm on vacation.
