Bought this a few weeks ago secondhand (The New York Public Libaries) and started reading it last night.
Ok a y y y ... at page 36 I nearly quit because I'm reading a book written by someone who lets her 4-year-old watch nearly 2 hours of TV per day! :o-
but the title of the book is still a relevant one and I'm interested in any new aspect I might get from this book, so I kept reading...
On page 56 a reference to the Bechdel test
sth. I came across just once before, on YouTube (maybe in a TED-talk?)
So, the book contains / is a guide to Pop Culture Coaching:
1st family values
2nd healthy media diet
3rd co-viewing and discussions
4th creating media :o)
5.Dec finished today. There were a few interesting points and a few references I'd like to follow up. But, fortunately, here the whole princess problem is not yet that big... and I've read the application of PCC to the PP but won't have to apply it.
