Alex McKnight retires on disability after 8 years on the police force in Detroit which left him with his partner dead and a bullet lodged by his own heart. Hoping to get away from dark thoughts, he starts doing some private investigator work. And then his past comes sweeping to the fore when he stumbles accross a murder scene.
Good plotting, good characters. Well done. Fly far little book!
