Four members of the Coverdale family - George, Jacqueline, Melinda and Giles - died in the space of fifteen minutes on the 14th February, St.Valentines day.
Eunice Parchman, the housekeeper shot them down on a Sunday evening while they were watching opera on television. Two weeks later she was arrested for the crime.
But the tragedy neither began nor ended there...

Good. A short read but gripping. I could see where it was going to go a lot of the time but it was the character development that kept me turning the pages. Kept me occupied on a train journey!

I've read a couple of Ruth Rendell's books and enjoyed them, so I should like this.
Read this on the way down to Devon last week. Short but enjoyable, as are all the Ruth Rendell's I've read so far.
Given to my mum to read, don't know if she'll journal it...
