One of the early appearances of Hercule Poirot is in The Murder of Roger Ackroyd, voted best crime novel ever. The ending contains one of Agatha's best twists. In They Do It With Mirrors is a Miss Marple classic where a change in perspective suddenly makes everything clear. Mrs McGinty is brutally bludgeoned to death in the final novel in this book. Everyone suspects the suspicious lodger James Bentley. But with the intervention of Hercule Poirot a far more complex web of lies and hidden identities is revealed. Novelist Ariadne Oliver joins the hunt and adds to the fun.
A great three novel set. Cosy crime at its best.
