Set in Melbourne, 'a romantic comedy and drop-dead thriller'. Murray Whelan is thrust into the art world when the minister he is assistant to gets reshuffled to Water Supply and the Arts. When at his first arts engagement a body is fished out the moat of the National Gallery. Action-packed, with political intrigue, a menacing old school friend and some paintings with sky-high price tags, this is a great read.

I read this whilst on a very long train journey today. It was a really fun read and just the thing to pass the time. I loved the characters in this story, can't decide who was my favourite, possibly the terrible Tarquin.
The bits describing pretentious art speak made me really laugh. I'm now off to see what else Shane Maloney has written. Thanks very much for introducing me to this writer Greenbadger!
