"BEFORE I TURN 67--next March--I would like to have a lot of sex with a man I like. If you want to talk first, Trollope works for me...." I have started reading this and it's a hoot. The author is wonderfully articulate and witty, having taught English for more than 40 years in high school and college, as well as to prison inmates.

2/10/04 - I just finished reading. Love this woman! I'm glad educators are still giving us something to aspire to. :-) Anyway, toward the end of the book she gets bogged down while rambling about a lengthy library experience (not a bad place to stagnate) and her choral group and musical exploits (who cares?) while leaving us hanging about her sexual exploits. She recovers a bit when she makes a brief case for the sexuality of music and finally gets back on track with her amorous adventures. While most would not condone these kinds of late-life activities, I totally applaud her daring efforts to live life fully without being shackled by convention.
