from the cover: "For Kivrin, preparing for on-site study of one of the deadliest eras in humanity's history was as simple as receiving inoculations against the diseases of the fourteenth century and inventing an alibi for a woman traveling alone. For her instructors in the twenty-first century, it meant painstaking calculations and careful monitoring of the rendezvous location where Kivrin would be retrieved. But a crisis strangely linking past and future strands Kivrin in a bygone age as her fellows try desperately to rescue her. In a time of superstition and fewr, Kivrin - barely of age herself - finds she has become an unlikely angel of hope during one of history's darkest hours."
On it's way to BookCrosser, Rampallion. I think this book just wants to get out of the cold, eh?
Arrived today! Thank you very much, keister. I sent you the J. A. Jance book in exchange--it went out today by first class mail.
I know a few other BCers who are Connie Willis fans, so once I am done with it, I will see if one of them wants it.

I saved this one until I had plenty of time to read it. Connie Willis books always make long plane rides seem much shorter.
I loved this book. Interesting characters, fast-moving plot, lots of surprises.
Thanks for sharing, keister!
