It's a new month... time for some new bug fixes!
While Matt is still working on harnessing the book data that we all have contributed to, and making it available for searches, he's also been rather busy fixing other things, and even adding some nifty little features. Read all about it in this Announcements forum post.Out

Read am article in the NYT's about the author. It peaked my interst. She writes best selling mystery novels. But they are also examintions of the Japanese fetish with youth and beauty. Since Kirino is a woamn in Japan, and her characters are women in Japan, her books deal with the woman's role and status in Japan.
This books centers around a group of women who work the night shift in a factory. They are all there for different reasons. Their bond is built on the fact they all share the humilation of second class citzenship together.
I started it the other day. There is a long list of characters to get into. But so far she is doing a good job of fleshing them out. It seems like a good translation. The currence conversion gets hard to follow at times. But that is probably due to the fact I failed Math102 at UGA the first time around.

Great book. She is the Japanese Jim Thompson. Bleak, cold, but engrossing and mezmerizing.
I lent it to Aimee
